Carol Broad BA, PG dip.
Carol is a qualified integrative psychotherapist having studied for her postgraduate diploma at the University of Central Lancashire. Prior to this she undertook her undergraduate degree with the Open University whilst working and raising a family.
Carol has spent the past two years working in a local counselling service offering short term and long-term therapy to a wide range of clients. Carol is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and has experience of working with anxiety, depression, self-harm, bereavement, relationship difficulties, complex trauma and dissociation.
In addition to private practice Carol is a UK member of the European Society for Trauma and Dissociation and she is a trustee of First Person Plural an organisation for people with Dissociative Identity Disorder having gained a wealth of knowledge in the field of complex trauma and dissociation.
Carol has presented at several conferences both in the UK and internationally on mental health, self harm, complex trauma and dissociation and has co-facilitated GP awareness training for a local Clinical Commissioning Group. Carol has also written for a variety of publications on the subject of mental health and complex trauma.
